Qualification/ Eligibility Criteria:- Eligible applicants applying for the position of sub – inspector should have graduation degree in any stream from any recognized university in India .

Candidate Salary detail:- Rs 9300 – 34800/- Per Month

Grade Pay:- Rs 4200/-

Age Limit (In yrs.):- The age of the eligible applicant applying for the position of sub – inspector should not be less than 21 years and should not be more than 28 years. The age of the applicant applying for the position should be as on 1st July 2016.

Mode of Selection:- The selection of the eligible applicant applying for the position of sub – inspector will be on the basis of / written examination / Physical measurement examination and personal interview.

Application fee:- Interested and eligible applicants applying for the position of sub – inspector are required to pay application fee Rs 400/- for all categories candidates and the application fee will be pay through Challan or online payment mode.

Age Relaxation:- The upper age of the eligible applicant applying for the position of sub – inspector is relaxable for the following specified categories:-
i) By 5 years for candidates belonging to ST communities.
ii) By 5 years for candidates belonging to SC communities.
iii) By 5 years for candidates belonging to OBC communities.

For the purpose of maintaining law and order in the state, the state of Uttar Pradesh is divided into 8 police zones. Each zone is headed by an officer of the rank of inspector general of police who is an officer of the Indian police service. Each police zone is constituted by 2 to 3 police ranges. There are a total of 18 police ranges in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Each range is headed by an officer of the rank of deputy inspector general of police. Each police range is constituted by around 2 to 4 districts.
