Qualification/ Eligibility Criteria:- Eligible applicants applying for the position of Inspector of motor vehicle / additional R.T.O (Enforcement) assistant work Engineer should have degree in automobile engineering or mechanical engineering with automobile engineering as a subject and possess to license to drive a transport vehicle.

Candidate Salary detail:- Rs 9300 – 34800/- Per Month

Grade Pay:- Rs 4600/-

Age Limit (In yrs.):- The age of the eligible applicant applying for the position of Inspector of motor vehicle / additional R.T.O (Enforcement) assistant work Engineer should not be less than 21 years and should not be more than of 35 years. The age of the applicant should be as on 1st day of April 2016.

Mode of Selection:- The selection of the eligible applicant applying for the position of Inspector of motor vehicle / additional R.T.O (Enforcement) assistant work Engineer will be on the basis of career assessment and viva – voce. The government at their discretion may short list the applicants to a reasonable number for conducting interview by making a preliminary selection on the basis of evaluation of their academic career taking into account the requisite minimum educational qualification.

Application fee:- Interested and eligible applicants applying for the position of Inspector of motor vehicle / additional R.T.O (Enforcement) assistant work Engineer are required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs 300/- only. Applicants belonging to schedule caste categories candidates (SC) / schedule tribe categories candidates of Odisha and person with disabilities categories candidates are exempted from payment of this fee.

NOTE:- The applicants are required to take a print-out of the finally submitted online application form for future and take a print out of online Challan (Pay-in-slip) for payment of requisite fee at any branch of the state bank of India. The fee paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor can the fee be adjusted or held in reserve for any other examination or recruitment.

Age Relaxation:- The upper age of the eligible applicant applying for the position of Inspector of motor vehicle / additional R.T.O (Enforcement) assistant work Engineer is relaxable for the following specified categories:-
i) By 5 years for candidates belonging to ST communities.
ii) By 5 years for candidates belonging to SC communities.
iii) By 5 years for candidates belonging to SEBC communities.
iv) By 5 years for candidates belonging to women communities.
v) By 5 years for candidates belonging to EXSM communities.
vi) By 10 years for candidates belonging to PH communities.

Important Dates:-

  • Last date for the payment of application fee is 9th September 2016.
  • Date of preliminary examination is 20th September 2016.

General Instruction:-

  1. The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  2. The applicant must have good Character.
  3. The applicant must be able to speak / read and write Odia fluently and must have passed an examination in Odia language.
  4. An applicant, who has more than one spouse living, will not be eligible for appointment unless the state government has exempted his / her caste from operation of the limitation for any good and sufficient reasons.
  5. If an applicant has at any time been declared for a certain period / chance by the Odisha Public service commission, he / she will not be eligible for such recruitment for that specified period.
  6. Government servants, whether temporary or permanent are eligible to apply provided that they possess the requisite qualification and are within the prescribed age – limit.
  7. Every applicant selected for appointment shall be examined by the medical board. A applicant who fails in satisfy the medical board shall not be appointed.
  8. The advertisement should not be constructed as binding on the government to make appointment.
