Qualification/ Eligibility Criteria:- Eligible applicants applying for the position of Assistant Court Secretary should have SSLC examination conducted by the Karnataka secondary board or equivalent with typing and computer knowledge or diploma in commercial practice / secretarial practice in English or any other examination recognized as equivalent examination to them by universities or Karnataka secondary education examination board or technical board with computer knowledge.

Candidate Salary detail:- Rs  20000 – 36300/- Per Month

Age Limit (In yrs.):- The age of the eligible applicant applying for the position of Assistant Court Secretary should not be less than 18 years and should not be more than 40 years. The age of the applicant should be as on 30th April 2017.

Mode of Selection:- The selection of the eligible applicant applying for the position of Assistant Court Secretary will be on the basis of written examination and personal interview.

Application fee:- Interested and eligible applicants applying for the position of Assistant Court Secretary are required to pay application fee Rs 250/- for all other categories candidates and Rs 100/- for schedule caste categories candidates (SC) / schedule tribe category candidates through online payments or Challan.

General Instruction:-

  1. Applicant must be citizen of India.
  2. If he is dismissed or removed from service or compulsory retired by any high court, government or statutory or local authority or other employer.
  3. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance.
  4. Those applicants called for viva-voce will have to appear before the recruitment committee in the presence of the High Court of Karnataka.
  5. Applicants sent in any other mode except online will not be considered.
  6. Applicants claiming reservation under EXSM shall possess the certificate or release or discharge from military service and to produce the same whenever directed by the authority to do so.
  7. The applicants shall furnish 2 character certificate of good character one from the Principal of the institution / college in which he / she studied with study detail and another from a responsible person not being a relative who is well acquainted with her / him.
  8. Applicants called for the document verification at the time of viva – voce shall furnish the necessary original document with regard to educational certificate (SSLC or equivalent examination certificate to show the date of birth / degree and law degree convocation certificate and marks cadre / caste / reservation with regard to rural / physically handicapped / EXSM / Kannada medium and reservation claimed for local cadre for verification.

High Court of Karnataka can be traced back to the year 1884 when the chief court of Mysore was created with 3 judges and was designated as the highest court of appeal / reference and revision in the state of Mysore the earlier name of Karnataka. The court had district court / sub-ordinate judges to assist it on civil cases and a court of sessions.

The office of the chief judge was created and the designated person had the utmost authority in the court. In 1930, it was renamed as the High Court of Mysore and the chief judge was given the new name of chief justice. In 1973, it got its present name of Karnataka High Court.
