Sailor (Direct Entry Petty Officer):-

  • Qualification/ Eligibility Criteria:- Eligible applicants applying for the position of Sailor should have passed +2 class examination board standard in any stream or equivalent examination.
  • Candidate Salary detail:- Rs 5200 -20200/- Per Month
  • Grade Pay:- Rs 2000/-
  • Age Limit (In yrs.):- The age of the eligible applicant applying for the position of Sailor should not be less than 17 years and should not be more than 22 years.
  • Mode of Selection:- The selection of the eligible applicant applying for the position of Sailor will be on the basis of trail at designated Naval Centre and personal interview.

Sailor (Senior secondary recruitment):-

  • Qualification/ Eligibility Criteria:- Eligible applicants applying for the position of Sailor should have passed +2 class examination board standard in any stream or equivalent examination.
  • Candidate Salary detail:- Rs 5200 -20200/- Per Month
  • Grade Pay:- Rs 2000/-
  • Age Limit (In yrs.):- The age of the eligible applicant applying for the position of Sailor should not be less than 17 years and should not be more than 21 years.

  • Qualification/ Eligibility Criteria:- Eligible applicants applying for the position of Sailor should have passed 10th class standard examination board or equivalent qualified.
  • Candidate Salary detail:- Rs 5200 -20200/- Per Month
  • Grade Pay:- Rs 2000/-
  • Age Limit (In yrs.):- The age of the eligible applicant applying for the position of Sailor should not be less than 17 years and should not be more than 21 years.
  • Mode of Selection:- The selection of the eligible applicant applying for the position of Sailor will be on the basis of trail at designated Naval Centre and personal interview.

Sailor (Non – Matric recruitment):-

  • Qualification/ Eligibility Criteria:- Eligible applicants applying for the position of Sailor should be out-standing sportsman who have participated at international / junior or senior national championship / senior state championship / all India inter university championship in sports.
  • Candidate Salary detail:- Rs 5200 -20200/- Per Month
  • Grade Pay:- Rs 2000/-
  • Age Limit (In yrs.):- The age of the eligible applicant applying for the position of Sailor should not be less than 17 years and should not be more than 21 years.
  • Mode of Selection:- The selection of the eligible applicant applying for the position of Sailor will be on the basis of trail at designated Naval Centre and personal interview.

Age Relaxation:- The upper age relaxation to the applicants is only for the following special categories:-
i) 5 years for candidates belonging to Schedule caste (SC) categories candidates.
ii) 5 years for candidates belonging to Schedule Tribe (ST) categories candidates.
iii) 3 years for candidates belonging to Other Backward class (OBC) categories candidates.

Important Dates:-

  • Last date for the submission of online application registration is 27th May 2016.

General Instruction:-

  1. Ministry of Defence reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off percentage.
  2. No communication will be entertained on this account.
  3. The selection of the eligible applicant applying for the position will be on the basis of written examination and personal interview.
  4. SSC interview for short-listed applicants will be schedule at Bangalore / Bhopal / Coimbatore / Visakhapatnam during 16th May to 16th July.
  5. Shortlisted applicants will be informed about their selection for SSC interview on their e-mail or through SMS.
  6. SSB interview will be conducted in two stages.
  7. Applicants recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be appointed for training as per all India merit depending on the number of vacancies.
  8. Change of SSB Centre for interview is not permissible under any circumstance.
  9. Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates be addressed to the call up officer of the SSB on receipt of call up letter.
  10. No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained as a result of tests.
  11. Ac-3 teir rail is admissible for the SSC interview, if appearing for the first time for that type of commission.
  12. Only Indian national are eligible for this position.
