Qualification/ Eligibility Criteria:- Eligible applicants applying for the position of Inspector should have graduation from a recognized university / institute.

Experience:- Eligible applicants applying for the position of Inspector should be retired officer of the Central police / state police forces of the rank of Inspector or above with 10 year of experience in Investigation and prosecution of Criminal cases in the court of Law are eligible for appointment to the above mentioned position

Candidate Salary detail:- Rs  40000/- Pere Month

Age Limit (In yrs.):- The age of the eligible applicant applying for the position of Inspector will be according to rules and regulation of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) organization.

Mode of Selection:- The selection of the eligible applicant applying for the position of Inspector will be on the basis of personal interview.

General Instruction:-

  1. Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is looking for retired and serving police officers of the rank of Inspector and above for appointment as Inspector on contractual for one year.
  2. This contract is for one year or till the filling up of these vacancies either by promotion or by deputation, which-ever is earlier at a consolidated remuneration not exceeding Rs 40000/- Per Month.
  3. The applicant should be graduate from a recognized university / institute.
  4. The person engaged shall have to right to claim regularization / absorption in the organization after the expiry of period of contract.
  5. The retired officer of the Central police / state police forces of the rank of Inspector or above with 10 year of experience in Investigation and prosecution of Criminal cases in the court of Law are eligible for appointment to the above mentioned position.
  6. The applicants will be on whole time appointment and will have no right to undertake part time private employment during the period of contract.
  7. The Inspector appointed on contractual  will be utilized by HOZ / HOB in best interest of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which should take into account the performance of duties.
  8. The number of vacancies at each location are given in Annexure – III.
  9. The number of vacancies and place of interview are subject to change.
